We’re seeking an experienced and qualified Women’s Health Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. It is a full time position (38 hours/week) but for the suitable applicant/s, there is a potential to job share.

As our nurse, you would be working closely with your multidisciplinary colleagues and our partner agencies to conduct women’s health nurse clinics and health promotion in community settings and women’s refuges in Sydney’s inner city and inner west. Our current clinic locations are in Leichhardt, Marrickville, Campsie, Lakemba and Rozelle.

Criteria includes women’s health nursing qualification or working towards same and demonstrated clinical experience in:

  • sexual and reproductive health care including cervical screening, general preventative health screening and emotional/mental health
  • working with women from diverse backgrounds including financial disadvantage and refugees, and
  • experience in conducting health promotion talks or a willingness to develop these skills
  • ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, including working collaboratively with partner agencies.

The suitable applicant/s will be able to demonstrate a sensitive approach in working with women experiencing the effects of trauma including domestic violence and historical childhood abuse.

We will require current AHPRA registration, excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy including MS Office and electronic medical records or willingness to learn, current driver’s licence and own vehicle.
