Talks for Health Professionals
An important aim of the Women Partners Service is to raise community awareness and resources of existing service providers on the issues affecting women whose male partners are homosexually active or attracted.
Each year we conduct talks and training sessions to counsellors, health workers and general practitioners in locations around Sydney and regional NSW.
Contact us to arrange a talk.

Student Placements
The Women Partners Service is located in the multi-disciplinary environment of Leichhardt Women's Community Health Centre. The centre's staff of 20 health professionals includes general practitioners, a women's health nurse, counsellors, drug and alcohol workers, general and bilingual health educators, a health promotion officer, acupuncturists and naturopaths.
Along with aiming to raise awareness of the issues affecting women partners we also utilise and promote the social model of health and feminist-based approaches to health care.
Students can apply to have a placement with us, conduct an agency visit or have a talk given to their class.
Each year we conduct talks to around 100 TAFE and other students and place around seven tertiary students studying medicine, social work, welfare, nursing and business administration.
