Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit women’s health centre providing low-cost medical and complementary health care.
Services include:
- General practitioner & women’s health nurse clinics
- Acupuncture
- Naturopathy
- Alcohol, tobacco & other drugs counselling
- Assessment & referral counselling in English, Vietnamese and Chinese
- Groups to develop personal skills
- Talks to community groups & health professionals
- the state-wide Women Partners of Bisexual Men Service (information, counselling and groups for women partners of gay/bisexual men in NSW)
In-house partnerships have added to our range of services:
- Medicare-registered psychology
- Therapeutic massage therapy
- Counselling to assist women experiencing domestic violence and the effects of childhood sexual assault
- Bowen Therapy
Services are conducted in the welcoming, women-safe environment in Leichhardt and in community venues in Sydney’s inner west.
From the 7th July the Centre will be open on Wednesday afternoons!!
Run by women, for women - 2010 is the centre's 36th anniversary as the first women's health centre in Australia.
